Design Concept

Interwoven bamboo lattices and chili-red walls glow under warm lighting, where shifting amber shadows evoke the vibrant atmosphere of a Sichuan street. The façade layers the imagery of “bamboo art” with red surfaces that symbolize “spice” and “fragrance.” Between them, delicately patterned wooden doors of classical latticework introduce a sense of refinement. Through the play of light and shadow, guests standing before the entrance sense the rustic authenticity and regional sentiment of Sichuan culture—an impression that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.

This project interprets Sichuan’s culinary culture through spatial vocabulary, weaving together color, material, and symbolism to extract a sensory warmth rooted in local identity. The vivid red finish flowing between walls and lighting not only echoes the fiery flavor of the cuisine but also bridges sight and smell through synesthetic resonance. The woven bamboo craftsmanship conveys a handmade tactility and artisanal spirit, while the form of the old fermentation crock symbolizes the slow infusion over time. Layer by layer, these sensory cues awaken memory before taste—creating a dining environment that unites regional culture and emotional connection.
